Our AML and Verification Policy
This page sets out, in plain language, how Mzansi Casino verifies your identity and keeps our platform free of money laundering and fraud. We run these checks under the rules of our Curaçao Gaming Control Board licence, and they apply to every account on mzansi-aud.com.
Our Anti-Money Laundering Commitment
We hold licence OGL/2024/128/4937 from the Curaçao Gaming Control Board and operate under that authority's anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing framework. In practice this means we must know who our players are, where their funds come from, and be able to report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
We treat these obligations as part of running a fair casino, not as paperwork. Every deposit, withdrawal and betting pattern on our platform passes through risk-based controls, and our compliance team reviews alerts daily. We do not accept funds whose origin we cannot reasonably establish.
When We Verify Your Account
Verification is not a single event. We check your details at three points: at registration (name, date of birth, address and contact details screened against sanctions lists), before your first withdrawal, and at any threshold or trigger set by our risk rules. You can play and deposit before full verification, but you cannot withdraw until it is complete.
The documents we ask for are:
- A government-issued photo ID: passport, national ID card or driver's licence
- Proof of address dated within the last 3 months: utility bill, bank statement or council rates notice
- Proof of payment method ownership: a photo of the card (middle digits covered) or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name
How Verification Works Step by Step
Your documents are stored on encrypted servers with strict access controls. Only authorised compliance staff can view them, and we never share verification data with third parties except where the law requires it.
- Log in and open Account, then Verification
- Upload your ID, proof of address and payment method proof as clear, uncropped photos or PDFs
- Our compliance team reviews the files, typically within 24 hours and no more than 72 hours for complex cases
- You receive an email and an in-account notification with the result
- If anything is unclear, we contact you directly and explain exactly what we need
Why We May Ask for Source of Funds
For most players, standard verification is enough. Where deposits or betting volumes are unusually high, or where a pattern of play looks inconsistent with the profile we hold, we may ask you to show where the money came from.
This is a legal requirement, not an accusation. Acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, a tax return, a bank statement showing regular income, or records of an asset sale. We ask only for what the situation requires, and we assess each case individually. Once we are satisfied, your account returns to normal handling.
How We Monitor Transactions
Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform is screened against risk rules covering amount, frequency, method and origin. Withdrawals follow the same-method rule: we pay out to the same card, wallet or crypto address you used to deposit wherever that method supports withdrawals.
Our current limits are: minimum deposit 80 AUD, minimum withdrawal 160 AUD, and a withdrawal cap of 16,000 AUD per day and 80,000 AUD per month. Withdrawals are processed within 24 to 72 hours. We charge no fees of our own; network or provider charges may apply on crypto and card transactions.
Crypto deposits and withdrawals in BTC, ETH, USDT and LTC are subject to the same checks as fiat methods. A crypto address that appears on our screening lists will be rejected before the funds are credited.
What Happens If Verification Fails
We always tell you which step applies and why, and you can appeal any decision by writing to [email protected]. Our support team is available 24/7.
- Withdrawals are placed on hold; deposits and play may continue
- If documents are not supplied within the stated deadline, the account is suspended entirely
- Funds in a suspended account remain yours and are released once verification succeeds
- Where we find fraud, use of another person's identity or deliberately false documents, the account is closed and, where required, reported to the authorities
How Long We Keep Your Documents
We retain verification records for at least five years after your account closes, as our licence requires. Retention lets us answer regulator queries and assist law enforcement where legally mandated. After the retention period, records are securely destroyed. You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time, or ask us to correct anything that is out of date.
Frequently asked questions
Can I withdraw before completing verification?
No. We verify your identity before the first withdrawal. You can register, deposit and play beforehand, but funds are released only after your ID, proof of address and payment method checks are complete.
How long does verification take?
Most checks are finished within 24 hours, and complex cases take no more than 72 hours. You will be notified in your account and by email once the review is done.
Do you verify crypto deposits the same way?
Yes. Crypto transactions in BTC, ETH, USDT and LTC pass the same monitoring rules, and your wallet address is screened before funds are credited.
What if I cannot provide source of funds documents?
Contact us at [email protected] and explain your situation. We assess each case individually and will tell you which alternative evidence we can accept.
Why do you keep my documents after I close my account?
Our Curaçao licence requires us to retain verification records for at least five years after account closure. After that period the records are securely destroyed.
